Innovation projects
Whenever, in the course of a dissertation or Master's thesis, a new and innovative technology or method is developed which appears to have considerable market potential, the question arises of whether to set up a new company. Often, however, this would be premature, because important factors like a team, a defined market and finance are missing.
The Hasler Foundation gives budding young entrepreneurs the opportunity to spend up to 18 months preparing to set up their new company, time in which they can translate their technical innovation into a marketable one.
The applicants are the would-be beneficiaries of the innovation project, together with a mentor who makes the necessary infrastructure available to them at his university institution for the duration of the project.
As a rule, innovation projects shall begin no more than six months after the applicant has completed a Master's degree or gained a doctorate.
