Support may be given to individuals in the form of grants or in the context of innovation projects.
Gifted students capable of above-average performance
Within its area of funding, the Hasler Foundation is able to give grants to students who are permanently resident in Switzerland.
However, grants are only awarded where above-average performance can be expected and only in special cases where state grants are not available.
The Hasler Foundation does not give grants to supplement normal state grants for standard courses or for continuing education projects carried out alongside employment.
Post-doctoral and applied sciences graduates
Post-doctoral and applied sciences graduates wishing to convert a newly developed technology into a marketable product, with a view to perhaps subsequently starting a company, can be employed for a limited period by a university institution that is willing to cooperate. The financing then goes via the university.
